Community Prayer Garden

Our hope for this plot is to cultivate the space into a Community Prayer Garden. With such a large space there will be room for a walking prayer labyrinth, a fountain with seating, a memorial space, and possibly anything else that may come up as we continue to dream about this space.

Our wonderful Campus Care Elder, Carolyn Erlanson, has done such a great job facilitating this amazing project in partnership with the Recourse Committee and Pastor Cassie.

The first step was removal of the huge bushes that used to live in this space. A huge thank you to Rich Fahmie for donating time from his company. It was such a huge start to this project.

The next step is to utilize a rototiller in the space to get rid of roots and anything else that may want to surprise us. We are grateful that John Pfeifer has volunteered to help make this step happen.

After, we’ll work with Rich again to come up with an action plan for moving forward. We are hoping to bring in the church community to help create this new contemplative space.
