What to Expect

You are invited to join us on Sundays at 9:30AM in the sanctuary for worship and afterward to join us for coffee, tea, and cookies in the Fellowship Hall.

Palisades Presbyterian Church is a warm church, where you are welcome as you are. On Sundays, we are β€œSan Diego fancy,” meaning everything from jeans and a T-shirt to your Sunday best will fit right in. We are thankful that parking in our lot is plentiful and easy, and also that we are able to offer assisted-listening devices to anyone who needs them. Our facilities are warm in the winter and cool in the summer, thanks to our recently refurbished heating and air-conditioning systems.

Our worship lasts a bit over an hour, offering the best of a valued tradition mixed with what is fresh and relevant. We blend a wide range of musical styles in our service, with our praise band, choir, and hymns. A short way into the service, children are invited to come forward for a Moment With Children before they head off to Sunday School (children ages 3 and under can be dropped off at our nursery prior to the start of the service). Students in middle and high school are invited to stay and worship for the service.

We host Communion on the first Sunday of each month. All who believe in Christ are welcome to participate, regardless of denomination. Children are welcome to participate in the partaking of Communion or can come forward to receive a blessing. For information about talking with your children about Communion CLICK HERE.

COVID is still an issue, as are many other respiratory illnesses. We do not requiring masks at this time, but they are available in the narthex (the entrance to the sanctuary) if you would like one.
